Incentive Fund Phase 4 (Papua New Guinea)
DFAT, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, managed the Australian Government’s official overseas aid program. DFAT assists developing countries to reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development, in line with Australia’s national interest. DFAT is seeking a contractor to undertake the Incentive Fund Phase 4 (Papua New Guinea).
The Incentive Fund has been operating for fourteen years in PNG and it is recognised valued component of the Australian Aid program. The Incentive Fund Phase 4 aims to attract, identify and incentivise high performing organisations to expand the reach, coverage and quality of their contribution to service delivery and/or economic development in Papua New Guinea.
Projects previously funded include the redevelopment of markets, schools, health aid posts, clinics and hospitals and the construction of marketplaces and bridges. Phase 4 funding may be allocated to support activities in a range of sectors including but not limited to health; education; transport; law and justice; governance and public administration; private sector development; agriculture and rural development.

It is anticipated that the program will commence in mid 2015 and will continue over a four year period.
