The current system is used to administer the following defined benefit superannuation schemes and death and disability arrangements in compliance with applicable legislation and specific regulations:

  1. the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Scheme (PCSS) under the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Act 1948;

  2. the Judges’ Pensions Scheme (JPS) under the Judges’ Pensions Act 1968;

  3. the Governors-General Pensions Scheme (GGPS) under the Governor-General Act 1974 ; and

  4. the death and disability arrangements for Judges of the Federal Circuit Court under relevant sections of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia Act 1999 (Schedule 1, Part 2, Division 2).

The objective is to replace the current Superannuation management system with a customised COTS, SaaS, cloud-based solution which could subsequently be integrated into other finance systems. The system is to be fully operational by March 2019.

Finance seeks a flexible business system with the ability to manage superannuation information including ability to store sensitive client information, record and maintain details about clients, calculate, generate and process payments and provide a full reporting capability to meet business and statutory obligations

Finance will be seeking responses from industry to supply and configure the system to manage the three defined benefit superannuation schemes.

Requirements are detailed in the Response for Proposal (RFP).
