Indigenous Entrepreneurs Fund Business Advisory Services
The Department is seeking to procure the services of six professionals (Business Advisors) to deliver advice and support to small to medium Indigenous businesses on business start-up, expansion and viability. The business advisory service is a 12 month trial.
The trial will be conducted as part of the Indigenous Entrepreneurs Fund (IEF) and involve the face-to-face, in-community delivery of the advisory service, as supported by Departmental staff, with a focus in remote and regional Australia. Each Business Advisor will service a designated geographic area and be based in one the Department’s Regional Offices. Geographic areas are: Queensland; New South Wales; South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania (combined); Northern Territory; Western Australia (North); and Western Australia (South).
Business advisory services will include advice and support to be provided to support Indigenous businesses to develop their business ideas; link businesses to procurement, programme and major infrastructure opportunities; connect businesses to existing commercial finance and business support services; and assist businesses to apply for commercial finance and/ or IEF grants.
