17/396 Market Sounding Notice

The Australian Antarctic Division of the Department of the Environment and Energy owns and operates the existing Macquarie Island Research Station as well as delivering the logistics and operational support required to maintain a year-round presence. The Australian Antarctic Strategy and 20 year Action Plan highlights the need to deal with the ageing infrastructure at the Macquarie Island Research Station.
The Department invites industry representatives to participate in this market sounding exercise, which is being conducted in advance of any potential formal procurement activities in support of the Macquarie Island Modernisation Project.
Industry representatives are asked to familiarise themselves with the attached market sounding notice.
The Australian Antarctic Division will host an Industry Briefing in Hobart on Thursday 22 June 2017. Further details regards the briefing and associated registration requirements are provided in the attached notice.
