DVA notifies interested parties of a Request for Tender (RFT) for the provision of Medical and Health Advisory Services (MHAS) Panel expected to be released in mid-late June 2015.

 

The aim of the MHAS Panel is to provide DVA with timely, high quality independent professional advisory services on a range of activities and medical issues consistent with best practice in the relevant industry or profession.

 

There are five (5) conditions for participation that a tenderer must satisfy to participate in this tender process:

1.              The tenderer must be a non-individual legal entity, such as a company, trust, partnership, or association at the time an agreement is signed with the successful tenderer.

2.              Each of the specified personnel nominated by the tenderer to provide the services must have at least five years of current clinical experience in the relevant area of expertise.

3.              Each of the specified personnel nominated by the tenderer to provide the services must be currently registered to practice under the relevant Australian State or Territory law, as applicable.

4.              Each of the specified personnel nominated by the tenderer to provide the services must be a current member of, and accredited (where applicable) under the rules of a relevant Australian professional association.

5.              Each of the specified personnel nominated by the tenderer to provide the services must be currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), except for professions not covered.

 

The areas of expertise that DVA wishes to contract under the proposed panel arrangements are:

F.                   Dietetics

G.                 Epidemiology

H.                  Exercise Physiology

I.                     Medical

J.                   Occupational Therapy

K.                  Optometry

L.                   Pharmacy

M.                Physiotherapy

N.                 Podiatry

O.                 Psychiatric

P.                  Psychology

Q.                 Social Worker

R.                  Speech Pathology

 

DVA’s requirements for the MHAS Panel and other background information will be made available in the RFT.

 

Please note:

1.              DVA reserves the right to change any part of the conditions for participation or areas of expertise, or not to release an RFT for the MHAS Panel;

2.              the purpose of this notice is to provide interested parties with advance notice so they may begin planning should they wish to respond to an RFT, if released by DVA; and

3.              DVA will not be taking any questions until the RFT (if any) is released.
