The Australian Antarctic Division (AAD), representing the Department of the Environment and Energy,  is responsible for providing a range of day to day support needs for personnel involved in the management and delivery of various operations within Antarctica and the Southern Ocean. The AAD has limited opportunities over the Austral Summer season to resupply each of the four research stations to ensure that expeditioners can be provided with nutritious meals and to support the effective, safe and hygienic function of the stations.

Over the past two decades the AAD has purchased a range of foodstuffs and household products through external providers drawing upon established supply chains, enabling them to offer a large range of goods at market-competitive prices, while also being able to meet the AAD’s strict quarantine requirements.

This ATM aims to identify a preferred Supplier for the provision of food (including fresh, frozen, dry / non-perishable), household consumables (including toilet paper, soaps, laundry powder etc) and cleaning products (e.g. cloth wipes, bulk cleaning chemicals, detergents, mops / buckets and brooms). The preferred Supplier will be offered an initial 3 year contractual term from July 2019 to July 2022 under a flexible Deed of Standing Offer arrangement, with the option for a further two extensions of 1 year each.

:

The supply of Services is to be provided in accordance with the Statement of Requirement (SoR) in the ATM and subject to the terms and conditions set out in, or referred to, in ATM 18/1213 Food and Household and Cleaning.  Neither the lowest nor any tender may necessarily be accepted.  The AAD reserves the right to abandon or terminate any aspect of the ATM at any stage if it is not in the public interest to proceed.  Late tenders will not be accepted and Tenders forwarded by facsimile or email will not be accepted.  Tenderers should note that the Draft Services Agreement is indicative of standard terms and conditions that will form the basis of a formal agreement only and any contractual arrangement with a preferred tenderer will be subject to change.  The AAD reserves the right to consider alternative terms and conditions of contract.

:

It is anticipated that the Deed of Standing Offer will take effect from 1 July
