Primary Health Care Services for RAAF Base Woomera
The township of Woomera, located 485km from Adelaide and 78km from Roxby Downs, was serviced by a Government funded health service prior to the health service’s disbandment in 2014.
Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel are permanently stationed at RAAF Base Woomera and the Commonwealth therefore requires a Contractor for the provision of primary health care services at Woomera. The current health care service supports a dependency of approximately 140 individuals, consisting of ADF personnel, Australian Public Service (APS) employees, Defence contractors and co-located dependants of individuals employed at RAAF Base Woomera and the Woomera Test Range.
The Contractor will provide primary health care services at the Woomera Health Centre for an initial period 1st January 2017 to 31st October 2018 (inclusive). Two extensions of one year, or part thereof, may be considered solely at the discretion of the Commonwealth.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and experience. The Contractor is to provide a General Practitioner (GP) and a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide primary health care services under the provisions of the Contract. The GP and NP/RN are to meet all essential requirements specified in the respective Statements of Requirement at Annexes A and B of Attachment A to the Conditions of Contract.
Tenderers are to ensure that tender pricing responses are submitted separately in a spreadsheet format as detailed in the Conditions of Tender.
The Commonwealth will exclude a tender from further consideration if the Commonwealth considers that the tenderer does not meet the Essential Requirements detailed within the Statement of Work at Attachment A to the Conditions of Contract; and
Clause 2.5 of the Conditions of Tender - Defence Security Requirements.
Services are to commence from 1 January 2017
