C4ISREW Environmental Working Group (EWG) 2017
Defence is conducting an Industry Briefing and Collaboration for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare (C4ISREW) programs via the C4ISREW Environmental Working Group (EWG).
Defence and Industry personnel involved in developing Defence C4ISREW systems are invited to attend the C4ISREW EWG. The importance of this engagement, particularly early in the Capability Life Cycle, was recognised in the 2016 Defence Industry Policy Statement (DIPs) with the recognition of industry as a fundamental input to capability.
The aim of the EWG is to provide a forum for Capability Managers to engage with industry in a transparent manner and discuss key challenges and opportunities in delivering the Integrated Investment Program. Such engagement assists Defence to better define the capability options and resource requirements which in turn helps industry to prepare for the acquisition and support phases of the projects.
The Industry Briefing content will be at the unclassified level and is open to all members of Defence Industry and the ADF. Importantly there will be an opportunity in the afternoon session for more detailed briefings and one-on-one engagement with program and project staff.
The Industry Briefing will be held at the National Convention Centre Canberra, ACT, on Monday 10 April 2017. Registration for the event commences at 08:00am, with the formal event starting at 08:45am (ACT local time). The agenda for the event is attached.
Defence Industry representatives interested in attending the briefing can nominate by completing the attached nomination form and emailing it to citebranch.corro@defence.gov.au by 12:00pm (ACT local time) Wednesday 5 April 2017.
Registration for the C4ISREW EWG is limited to 250 attendees.
The first four nominees per company are guaranteed attendance, with remaining nominees allocated a position as space allows.
The first 200 attendees that arrive at the registration desk on the day will receive a parking pass which will allow them to exit the venue’s car park free of charge.
