Request for Expression of Interest for Temporary Worker Visa Skills Assessments
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) through Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) has been tasked with progressively introducing formal skills assessments from 1 July 2009 for temporary worker visa applicants in trade occupations and chefs.
The proposed model provides for assessments, based on formal and structured recognition of prior learning, to be carried out on a fee-for-service basis by (TRA endorsed) Registered Training Organisations.
Australian Registered Trade Organisations with a proven track record in delivering quality assessment outcomes in an offshore context are invited to respond to this EOI.
