Strategic Procurement Outlook
The Federal Court of Australia (the Entity) is a non-Corporate listed entity for the purposes of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and a statutory agency for the purposes of the Public Service Act 1999. The Entity supports the operations of the Federal Court of Australia (FCA), and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) and the National Native Title Tribunal (NNTT). The FCA and FCFCOA are Chapter III Courts under the Australian Constitution and continue to operate as individual judicial jurisdictions. During the 2018-2019 financial year, the planned procurements are intended to improve, support and maintain the courts operations, information management systems, technology infrastructure and accommodation so that they meet the Court's changing business requirements.
The APP provides potential suppliers with indicative procurements that are likley to occur this financial year. The Court looks to the market for procurement solutions that are innovative, effective and which offer value for money.
The Court's procurement processes are conducted in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and consistent with the Department of Finance's best practice guidance.
