Strategic Procurement Outlook
The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C) provides support to the Prime Minister, the Cabinet Secretary, the Parliamentary Secretary and the Cabinet. PM&C’s primary role is to achieve a coordinated and innovative approach to the development and implementation of government policies.
Procurement processes in PM&C are conducted in accordance with the principles of value for money, fairness and transparency, and are in compliance with the various policies and legislation that regulate Commonwealth procurement, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs). All open approaches to the market will be advertised on AusTender. All request documentation for open approaches to the market will be available electronically from AusTender when the approach to the market is released. When published all planned procurement which may be open for Multi Agency Access will be identified as such.
The Annual Procurement Plan will be updated to maintain currency as the year progresses. At that time, the information provided will be for planning purposes only and will not represent a solicitation or constitute a request for proposal, nor will it commit the department to purchase the described goods or services. Once published, planned procurements may be subject to revision or cancellation.
