Strategic Procurement Outlook

The Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) is a central agency within the Prime Minister and Cabinet Portfolio. The APSC takes a central, leadership role in providing expertise, guidance, performance monitoring and some centralised services to all agencies. The APSC also undertakes statutory functions under the Public Service Act 1999, including functions to strengthen the Australian Public Service’s (APS) integrity.

The APSC’s national office is located in Canberra with an office in Sydney.  The planned average staffing level for 2022-23 is 311.

The APSC’s activities are funded through government appropriation and fee for service revenue generated through the delivery of leadership, learning and development activities, employment services and international assistance.  Procurement activity is devolved, with each group within the APSC managing their specific requirements.

The annual procurement plan represents services that will support the APSC in its obligations to meet its statutory responsibilities and core business needs.

The APSC will seek to use existing contracts, panels, muliti-use lists or whole of government and co-operative procurement arrangements where possible.

Further information on the APSC is available at https://www.apsc.gov.au/about-us

The procurements described in this forecast are expected to be solicited in the upcoming year, based on the best information available at the time of publication.  This Annual Procurement Plan lists all proposed open tender opportunities for the APSC.
