Monitoring and review of PFAS remediation research

The work requires monitoring and reviewing peer-reviewed literature over an initial 12-month period to provide descriptions of emerging and evolving Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) remediation and destruction technologies and an assessment of their appropriateness in the Australian context including their effectiveness, benefits, financial viability, feasibility to upscale within a 5-10 year time frame, and social acceptability. The findings are to be provided in regular reports suited for PFAS IDC consideration.

The successful tenderer would include an interdisciplinary team, with the relevant science, engineering and research background to evaluate and translate the full range of PFAS remediation technologies. Any conflicts of interest (commercial interests or other) must be disclosed and managed as per the ARC Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality Policy.
The successful tenderer will be engaged for an initial period of 12 months, and will be expected to provide quarterly reports and attend quarterly meetings.
